Gala Timings

 

0830 am - Access for Swimmers and Coaches
0845 am - Access for Spectators
0900 am - Morning Session Warm-up Starts
1000 am - Morning Session - First event Starts
1230 - 1400 pm - Lunch Break [approximate times - subject to events]
1400 pm - Afternoon Session Warm-up Starts
1500 pm - Afternoon Session - First Event
1700- 1730 pm - Gala ends [approximate]
 
 

The above timing program will be in operation for both days, and will be subject to change.

 

GALA RULES [galarules2007.doc]

We continue with a 'Skins' competition - £50 winner/£10 heat winner! Nine year old's accepted, provided 10th birthday is by 31/12/07. 200m Individual Medley, and a Team Competition.

The skins event is where the top six boys and top six girls from the 100m IM [u/12] and 200m IM events, [13+] go through to skins swim-off finals.

Cost per event: £4.00 No change since 2005!]

Team Relay cost: £6.00

Coach's Pass £12.00

[9] /10/11 Yrs, 50m All strokes - plus 100m IM - 12 Yrs plus - 100m All Strokes,

12/u 100m I.M / 13+ 200m IM

Team Relays - team of four swimmers - two must be 12 or under

'Skins' Competition

Swimmer's Age as at 17th June 2007- please note! 9 year old's must be aged 10 by 31/12/07

Officials

Clubs that are accepted for the gala are respectfully asked to help us out with any officials that would like to participate over the two days. Free Entry and parking will be given to those who help us. - If you can help, please email Paul Yeoman as soon as possible. You help is greatly appreciated!

CUT-OFF ENTRY DATE - 30th April 2007

  • Details may also be obtained from our Meet Secretary.  (see address given below)
  • Entries will be accepted from 20th October 2006 .  Entries will - as always - be accepted on a 'first come first taken' basis.
  • 'Telephone' or 'Reserved' entries will NOT be accepted.
  • Closing date for Entries will be the 30th April 2007 or the date our entries limit is reached (whichever occurs first).
  • Entries will be confirmed as soon as possible following receipt. 
  • Entry times may be adjusted up to 30th April 2007 by e-mail or letter to the entries secretary.  No telephone adjustments will be taken.

§         The promoters reserve the right to restrict or return entries to facilitate the smooth running of the meet. 

We try to make the gala accessible to as many as we can. Our overriding factor is the safety and wellbeing of the swimmers and their families who are taking part. Once we have reached the number of entrants we can safely accept, we will stop taking entries.
